Market Report 22nd August 2024

With a favourable spring expected, producers are leaving their cattle in the paddock, resulting in a yarding of only 267 fair to good quality cattle.

Well- finished yearlings to process were keenly sought, with the steers selling from 310c to 380c, and the heifers topping at 350c/ kg. Feeder steers were price unchanged, despite some operators not bidding due to the lack of numbers. Steers sold from 298c to 400c, and feeder heifers were dearer, making from 280c to 336c/kg.
