Lamb numbers eased and the quality was good. Trade and heavy lambs were well supplied and lighter weights were in short supply. There was less restocking activity and all the usual processors attended. The market sold to a dearer trend.

The 2 score processing lambs ranged from $110 to $148/head. Feeders paid $148 to $160/head. Trade lambs to 24kg were $8 to $9 dearer ranging from $148 to $194 or 760c to 800c/kg cwt on average. The 24kg to 26kg lambs were $6 stronger yo sell from $193 to $200 and heavier weights sold from $186 to $220/head. Merino lambs 22kg and heavier sold from $169 to $196/head and hoggets reached $210/head.

Mutton numbers were steady and the quality remains mixed. Prices were $9 to $10 dearer on medium weights. Medium weight sheep sold from $105 to $165/head, averaging 580c to 600c/kg cwt. Heavy crossbred ewes sold from $144 to $213/head, or 550c/kg cwt.
