Total Yarding: 1,196

Numbers were steady and the quality improved. Weaners were better supplied and there was a better run of yearlings with more that suited the butchers. There was added restocking interest on the medium weight yearling steers. Grown steers were very limited and around 230 cows were offered. Light weaners had little competition while the better quality attracted dearer prices.

The medium weight C2 weaner steers sold from 249c to 326c and the heifers 210c to 279c/kg. Feeder steers were 4c to 5c dearer ranging from 272c to 310c, while Restockers paid 314c to 330c/kg. Feeder heifers were 11c to 15c dearer selling to 290c/kg. Trade cattle jumped 30c ranging from 275c to 327c/kg.

Grown heifers to restock were 25c stronger averaging 205c/kg. Medium weight cows were 2c to 4c dearer with the 2 score cows 148c to 178c/kg. Heavy cows lifted 12c and more in places selling from 190c to 329c to average 228c/kg on the 4 score cows.
