Cattle numbers halved and the quality was good with more weight and finish throughout the sale. Weaners and vealers were limited, however there was a good run of heavy feeder and trade cattle. Grown steers and bullocks were in short supply while there were more 6 and 8 tooth grown heifers on offer. Around 40 mostly heavy cows were penned and the market sold to a dearer trend with strong competition from processors.

Heavy vealers sold from 548c to 565c/kg. Medium weight feeder steer remained firm on limited numbers making from 510c to 560c with restockers paying from 556c to 616c/kg for similar weights. Heavy weights to feed lifted 20c selling from 455c to 532c/kg with more weights purchased. Feeder heifers jumped 25c selling between 460c and 532c/kg. Heavy trade steers sold from 474c to 480c/kg.

Grown steers and bullocks ranged from 470c to 480c and an older run of grown heifers made from 375c to 400c/kg. Heavy cows were 10c stronger, selling from 340c to 380c/kg.
