Total Yarding:  466

Numbers eased and the quality was mixed. Yearling steers made up the bulk of the yarding and feeders and restockers were the main buyers. There was a small run of light and medium weight weaners for restockers. Grown cattle were in short supply and around 60 mostly heavy cows were penned. There were several pens of cow and calf units which sold open auction. Market trends varied with quality variations.

Weaners were dearer with the steers selling from 530c to 671c and heifers reaching 608c/kg. Medium weight feeder steers eased 5c selling from 480c to 576c and heavy weights also eased reaching 536c/kg. Medium weight feeder heifers jumped 20c ranging from 480c to 528c and the few heavy trade steers reached 537c/kg.

Grown steers and bullocks gained 20c with extra competition in the export categories and ranged from 450c to 470c/kg. Heifers eased, selling from 380c to 425c/kg. Most of the cows were heavy 4 score cows and jumped 20c selling between 394c and 420c/kg. Medium weight cows with small calves at foot sold from $3,600 to $4,000/unit.
