Market Report – Sheep & Lamb sale – 21 December

A much reduced yarding of 6,275 sheep and lambs at today’s SELX sale.

The Lamb market was generally firm with the exception of better, fresher lambs, which due to short supply received strong support from trade buyers to be $3-5 dearer. Lighter, re-stocker lambs were keenly sort after, with the price firm to slightly dearer.

Heavier mutton, and mutton with skin, had a dearer trend, with the balance of the mutton selling to a firm market.
