Numbers eased and the quality was mixed. Restockers were the strength with demand for light young cattle and joinable weight milk and 2 tooth heifers. There were no prime grown steers and only 14 cows offered. Not all the usual buyers were operating.

Weaner steers were up 40c to restocking orders making from 440c to 477c/kg. Medium weight feeder steers were back 12c to sell from 357c to 410c and heavy feeders were firm making from 372c to 425c/kg. Medium weight heifers to restock and feed sold from 370c to 383c and heavy weights made from 339c to 362c/kg. The 2 tooth heifers returning to the paddock were 30c dearer, selling from 360c to 367c/kg. Grown heifers to feed were back 9c, to sell from 300c to 340c/kg. The limited number of heavy heifers to process, saw prices ease by 20c and sell from 275c to 285c/kg.

The better shaped and yielding cows slipped 3c to 7c with most selling from 240c and 255c/kg.
