With only limited numbers penned the quality was mostly good and weight was a major feature. There were a few light weaners and yearlings but the majority were heavy weights with a highlight run of heavy 2 tooth heifers. All the regular buyers attended the smaller market which sold to similar values on breed and quality as last week.

The few weaner steers sold to 450c and the heifers made from 380c to 410c/kg. Yearling steers sold from 380c to 410c/kg for all weights and buying groups with only one exception. Feeder heifers were firm, selling from 380c to 398c with the trade heifers reaching 400c/kg.

Grown steers sold from 370c to 375c and a couple of heavy bullocks made from 315c to 321c/kg. Only 20 cows were penned and sold to a cheaper trend and with the majority of heavy weights which sold from 282c to 295c/kg.
