Numbers lifted and the quality improved with plenty of the cattle in forward condition and carrying plenty of weights. Yearlings were well supplied and there were only limited numbers of light weaners. There was a very good line up of steers and heifers in the export run and around 115 cows were penned. Feeders and restockers were the strength buying all weights and the market sold from firm the dearer trends.

Most of the weaner steers ranged from 202c to 252c and heifers 152c to 200c/kg. Feeder steers lifted 20c to 30c/kg, quality driven, with the medium weights selling from 165c to 241c and heavy weights 170c to 226c/kg, restockers paid to 233c/kg. Feeder heifers were 20c dearer with medium weights 155c to 181c and heavy feeders 157c to 200c/kg. The medium and heavy trade cattle sold between 185c and 195c/kg.

Grown steers were firm ranging from 158c to 191c and the bullocks were dearer selling to a top of 218c/kg. Heavy grown heifers reached 200c/kg to return to the paddock and 194c/kg to process. Cows went against the trend and eased. Medium weight 2 score cows ranged from 138c to 155c and the heavy 3 and 4 score 138c to 188c averaging 180c/kg.
