Lamb numbers eased and the quality was mixed. Store and trade weights were well supplied and heavy and extra heavy lambs were limited. Not all the usual buyers operated.

Store lambs lifted $9 and sold from $135 to $175/head. Medium and heavy trade weights were $4 to $5 cheaper, selling from $174 to $216/head. Heavy lambs gained $3 with an excellent run of shorn lambs, selling from $207 to $235/head or 930c to 950c/kg cwt on average. Lambs over 26kg eased $30 with reduced competition and sold to a top of $249/head. Heavy hoggets eased $16 and made from $198 to $210/head.

Mutton numbers reduced and the quality was mostly plain. Medium weight ewes sold $8 to $11 dearer and sold from $144 to $187/head. Heavy sheep eased $15 on the crossbred ewes, making from $220 to $255 and Merino ewes dropped $17 and reached $205/head.
