Numbers were similar and the quality improved. There were good numbers of yearlings and a few young weaners that went back to the paddock. Grown cattle were limited but there was another run of the heavy bullocks which have been coming in over the past few weeks and only 40 cows were penned. The market sold to a mostly dearer trend.

Weaner steers back to the paddock sold from 400c to 520c and the heifers 365c to 444c/kg. Feeder steers jumped 30c with the better breed lines 380c to 450c and the heifers to feed were firm, mostly selling from 320c to 365c/kg. Trade cattle lifted 10c to 15c and steers sold from 340c to 400c and the heifers 360c to 415c/kg.

The heavy bullocks lifted 15c selling from 290c to 325c and grown heifers also showed gains on the heavy weights ranging from 305c to 340c/kg. Cows lifted 20c with the medium weights 220c to 271c and the prime heavy weights 265c to 300c/kg.
