Cattle numbers lifted and the quality was mixed. There were more feeder cattle with heavy trade cattle limited. Weaners and grown steers were also in limited numbers while cows increased in volume to nearly 200 head. The market sold to a mostly firm to dearer trend.

Weaner steers sold to 599c and heavy butcher vealers made to 450c/kg. Medium weight feeder steers were 10c cheaper still, selling from 420c to 450c/kg. Heavy feeders gained 6c and sold from 390c to 458c/kg. Light restocking steers reached 488c/kg. Medium weight feeder heifers were firm, making from 400c to 442c and heavy weights lost 10c with no large runs offered, to sell from 350c to 424c/kg. Heavy trade cattle were 15c dearer with steers making from 355c to 430c and heifers reaching 396c/kg. Grown steers were firm topping at 380c and heavy heifers sold to a slightly stronger trend from 338c to 355c/kg.

Medium weight cows lifted 15c on average with more cows in this weight range and sold from 285c to 308c/kg. Heavy cows were 3c dearer to make from 288c to 310c/kg.
