The first store sale of 2019 penned only 471 head, but despite the small numbers there was a good run of weaners, mostly light and medium weights. There were only a handful of yearling and a small run of cow and calf units. The market was solid with quality selling well.

Light weaner steers under 200kg sold from $420 to $640/head. Medium weights made $500 to $900 for Limo cross weaners and heavy weights reached $910/head. Most ranged from 295c to 345c/kg. Weaner heifers started at $245 for light weights and sold to $460/head for Angus heifers. Medium weights reached $600/head for a run of Limo cross heifers. The few yearling steers sold to $905 and light plain heifers $470/head.

Cow and calf units topped at $1,560 for Angus cows and Euro cross calves at foot. 3 to 6 year old Black Baldy cows with calf and rejoined sold from $1,140 to $1,230/head. Most of the other cows ranged from $655 to $970/head.
