Numbers were back and the quality was fair to good. There were plenty of light and medium weight grown heifers and a good run of heavy feeder steers. Lighter weights and heifers were limited and with the monthly store sale tomorrow, weaners were very limited. Around 45 mostly heavy 3 and 4 score cows were penned and the market sold to a firm to dearer trend.

The few weaner steers sold to a much stronger trend ranging from 610c to 736c and the light weights under 200kg reached 850c/kg. Heifers sold to 615c/kg. with only limited numbers of medium weight feeder steers prices lifted selling to 621c/kg and heavy weights were firm ranging between 470c and 572c/kg. The average price of feeder heifers was cheaper but it was breed related and prices ranged from 440c to 468c/kg.

Grown heifers to feed lifted 10c and sold from 410c to 475c/kg and heavy processing heifers reached 482c/kg. Heavy 3 and 4 score cows were 4c to 6c stronger ranging from 385c to 410c/kg.
