Numbers were back for the third weaner/store sale held at SELX. Heavy weaners were a feature with more than half weighing over 280kg. In the store sale, there were few cow/calf units and a small run of PTIC cows and heifers. The overall quality was down on last sale but the trend was cheaper on the steers slipping around $80/head while the heifers were firm to dearer.

Medium weight weaner steers up to 280kg sold from $1,220 to $1,630 while heavier Angus steers sold from $1,450 to $1,940, averaging 405kg/head. Medium weight weaner heifers made from $1,000 to $1,680 while heavy weights made from $1,330 to $1,860/head with most averaging 480c to 530c/kg.

PTIC heifers ranged from $1,555 to $1,720 and PTIC cows reached $2,200/head. Cow and calf units sold very well with mixed aged Angus cows making from $3,250 to $3,440/unit.
