Lamb numbers lifted and the quality still remains mixed. There were light lambs suited to the restockers and secondary lambs upto 22kg in weight. Well finished lambs were limited with very few extra heavy lambs. Trade weights were best supplied. The market sold $4 to $5 dearer on the better trade weights and firm on the secondary lambs and heavy weights.

Restocking lambs sold from $93 to $132/head. Trade weights 20 to 22kg ranged from $138 to $160 and the 22 to 24kg lambs $151 to $178/head and averaged between 720c and 750c/kg for the better end of the lambs. Heavy weights 24 to 26kg $170 to $190/head and those to 30kg reached $210/head. The best of the heavy hoggets sold between $113 and $154/head.

Mutton numbers lifted and the quality was better with fewer light 1 score sheep. Prices followed other selling centres and sold to dearer trends. Medium weight ewes lifted the most approximately $8 to $10/head and ranged from $68 to $110/head. Heavy crossbreds sold from $108 to $146 and heavy Merinos reached $145/head.
