Lamb numbers lifted and the quality was a little plainer. Trade lambs were well supplied and there were a few good heavy weights, but there still is a lot of light weights. The market sold to a cheaper trend.
Restocking lambs eased $4 to $7, making from $112 to $148/head. The 2 score processing lambs to 16kg sold from $97 to $130/head. Trade lambs 18-24kg made from $112 to $154, averaging from 670c to 680c/kg and eased $5 to $8/head. Heavy 4 score lambs eased $7, receiving from $145 to $178/head, averaging 640c/kg. Very heavy hoggets have reached $180/head.
Mutton numbers lifted and quality was mixed. Medium weight ewes were $3 to $4 cheaper and heavy crossbred ewes sold $10/head cheaper. Medium weights sold from $88 to $135, as heavy crossbreds made from $138 to $170 and Merinos reached $146/head, averaging from 480c to 520c/kg.
