Special Store Lamb

Total Yarding: 4138

4138 store lambs were yarded with total clearance.

The lambs, mostly by Poll Dorset or White Suffolk sires, presented in very good condition with most pens fresh and recently weaned.

Prices ranged from $25 to $85 a head with an average of $47.

Agents reported the sale was $10 to $20 up on similar lambs sold recently through the prime market sale.

Top price was $85 per head for 70 unshorn 2nd X Composite suckers weighing 44.8kg. Other noteworthy pens included 91 2nd X Poll Dorset lambs weighing 42kg which sold for $76 p/h and 78 Poll Dorset X Merino lambs weighing 39.2kg sold for $65 p/h.

Buyers attended from the local region as well as Finley, Bathurst, Forbes and West Wyalong.
