Market Report – 31 May 2019

Total Yarding: 1,047

There was a mixed quality offering and light weaners made up a large percentage of the yarding. Medium weights were in short supply and there were only limited numbers of yearlings and PTIC cows penned. The market sold to a firm trend with only the very light lacking competition.

Weaner steers under 200kg sold to $610/head. Medium weights sold from $420 to $735 and steers over 280kg sold from $875 to a top of $1190/head. Light weaner heifers started at $100 and sold to $410 and medium weights sold from $330 to $670/head. Yearling steers reached $880/head and heifers $950/head.

PTIC heifers sold to $520 and cows reached $1020/head. Cow and calf units $700 to $1160/unit.
