Total Yarding: 1,875

Numbers lifted for the first sale of the year and the quality was mixed. There was a large run of calves and a lot of light yearlings, some coming from fire effected areas. Ideally weighted feeders were in short supply and prime grown steers and heavy trade cattle were limited. Around 400 cows were offered.

Light calves to restockers sold to a dearer trend with the steers selling to 286c and heifers 246c/kg. Feeder steer were 9c cheaper on the medium and heavy weights ranging from 226c to 272c/kg. The medium weight heifers were firm 203c to 256c/kg. Trade cattle lost 10c with steers from 238c to 270c/kg.

Prime grown steers sold to 266c and 2 tooth heifers sold from 254c to 270c/kg. A fair percentage of the 1 and 2 score cows sold to restocker and were 6c to 10c dearer ranging from 117c to 184c/kg. The prime heavy weights to processors remained firm from 188c to 210c/kg.
