Today’s sale lifted in numbers with Agents yarding 1,144 head of cattle. Quality improved on last week’s sale, with most of the buyers present competing in a firm to slightly dearer market.
The best cows made 250cpk and averaged 222cpk. With a short supply of heavy steers and bullocks saw prices lift 6 cents, with top steers making $2,241.
Light store steers and heifers also sold well, with 260kg steers making up to 420cpk and heifers of the same weight making 365cpk.
