Numbers increased to 10,123 for the first sale in 2017. Heavy and trade weight lambs were in short supply and showed a firm trend, topping today’s sale at $155.00.
Store lambs were plentiful and also showed a firm trend on the heavier end and were $2-$5 dearer on the lighter plainer types.
Mutton again showed strong interest with all processors active on a firm to stronger market.
