Market Report – Store Cattle – 28 October

Agents yarded a total of 1,600 store cattle, including 320 cows and calves. These sold to a top of $2,600, most units selling $1,600 – $1,850. Steers sold to a top of $1,380 (386kg) and averaged $1,048. Most selling $3.65 – $4.30. Unjoined heifers topped at $1,180 and averaged $893. Demand came principally from local re-stockers with rates mostly $3.28-$3.75
