Prime Cattle

Total Yarding: 352

Numbers eased this sale with agents yarding 391 head. Quality was very mixed with a limited offering of well finished trade cattle and a larger percentage of plainer & secondary lines. The usual buyers were present and competing in a mostly steady market that varied with quality.

Yearling steers to feed sold from 255 to 330c/kg. The better types to processors ranged from 256 to 283c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed received from 225 to 265c/kg with processors paying from 246 to 292c/kg.

A limited offering of grown heifers reached 289c/kg. A handy penning of cows saw prices lifted 5 to 6c with heavy 2 score from 180 to 210c/kg. The 3 & 4 scores sold from 198c to 214c/kg.
