Prime Cattle

Total Yarding: 281

It was only a small yarding of cattle with a good mixed of condition and weights. There were limited numbers of weaners and young cattle, most either went to feed or restockers orders, grown steers and heifers along with the 285 cows made up more than half of the sale. The young cattle sold to cheaper trend slipping 25c to 30c/kg with buyers selective on breed and numbers sold in each pen. Grown steers and heifers and the cows lifted around 15c with a push from restockers on the females.

Weaner steers sold from 258c to 280c and heifers 126c to 238c/kg. Medium and heavy feeder steers ranged from 200c to 272c and the few C muscled feeder heifers 180c to 230c/kg. Heavy trade heifers made 230c/kg.

Prime grown steers and bullocks sold from 235c to 258c and heifers ranged from 208c to 251c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows sold from 175c to 185c and the heavy weights 202 to 220c/kg.
