Total Yarding: 6,435

Numbers improved and there were around 3,000 new season lambs penned. Trade and heavy lambs made up the bulk and the quality was good. Old lambs were fewer in number and there were less Merino lambs. The market sold to a dearer trend.

New season medium and heavy trade lambs were $5 dearer, selling from $142 and $152/head, averaging 685c/kg. Heavy weights made from $148 to $170 or 640c, while extra heavy new season lambs reached $185/head, to average from 580c and 610c/kg.

Old trade lambs were firm to $2 dearer, to sell from $134 to $144/head, averaging 670c/kg. Heavy weights up to 26kg made from $143 to $155 and the extra heavy lambs lifted by $6 topping at $205/head. Merino trade lambs sold from $138 to $153/head. Restockers paid $250/head for first cross ewe lambs.

Mutton numbers were back and the quality was mixed. Prices were firm to slightly cheaper. Medium weight ewes sold from $122 to $148/head. Heavy crossbred ewes made from $160 to $180 and Merinos reached $161/head.
