Numbers fell this sale with a special feeder/store sale tomorrow. The quality was plainer overall but there were several pens ideal for the trade which were operating with more intent this week. Yearlings made up the bulk and there were several pens of heavy grown steers and heifers. With the trade buying the better end of the cattle and the plainer quality purchased by restockers and feeders the market sold to stronger trends.

A run of bobby calves sold to $90/head. Restocking weaner steers to 280kg sold from 144c to 174c and the heifers 90c to 109c/kg. Medium weight restocking steers C muscle ranged from 167c to 200c/kg and similar weight heifers 110c to 153c/kg. Heavy feeder steers sold from 155c to 205c/kg and heifers ranged from 120c to 140c/kg. Trade steers sold between 190c and 220c/kg.

Heavy grown steers to feed sold from 200c to 210c and the prime grown heifers to process slipped 20c to reached 140c/kg. Cows eased 10c to 15c on the heavy weights selling from 115c to 128c while a few of the medium weight 2 score cows were dearer pushed by restockers and reached 110c/kg.
