There was a lifted in the number of lambs and the quality remains mixed with long skinned lambs lacking finish to shorn well finished trade and heavy weights. Extra heavy lambs remain limited. Not all the usual buyers were operating in a market that eased $10 to $15/head resulting in multiple pens being passed in.

Restocking lambs started at $44/head for very plain and light 1 score lambs to $179/head for heavy trade weighted lambs going onto feed. The trade lambs 18 to 24kg cwt sold from $141 to $182/head averaging 700c to 750c/kg cwt. The 24 to 26kg lambs ranged from $180 to $191/head or 725c to 760c/kg cwt on average.

Heavy lambs 26 to 30kg $192 to $234 or 736c and extra heavy weights topped at $265/head. Merino quality was plain and prices ranged from $106 to $152/head averaging 580c to 600c/kg. The best priced hogget reached $215/head.

Mutton numbers lifted and the quality was mixed prices also fell $15 to $22/head with medium weights $104 to $155/head. Heavy crossbred ewes $175 to $210 and heavy Merinos $155 to $175/head.
