Market Report – Prime Cattle – 12 January

A better quality yarding of cattle was presented today, with 1,128 yarded by agents.

Cows in general were 5-8c dearer, except for lighter cows that went back to the paddock, with strong competition from re-stockers pushing the price 25c per kilo better.

Feeder cattle, especially steers, were firm with heifers easing slightly. General run of trade cattle sold firm to slightly cheaper.
