Total Yarding: 5,048 The first of the annual weaner sales attracted a very good offering of calves despite the seasonal conditions. There were just over 5,000 head penned. There was strong competition from local buyers and well as buyers as far away as Victoria and South Australia trying to secure lines of well bred cattle.
Total Yarding: 4,989 Numbers lifted and the quality was mostly good with only a small tail of plainer weaners. Prices lifted this store sale despite the cold bleak weather and a smaller buying group. Angus steers and heifers were the best supplied and the majority were in the 200-280kg weight range. Light weaners under 200kg sold

Quality was outstanding and prices were up for the April SELX Weaner sale. Agents penned 2,966 cattle including 1,862 steers. Buying competition came from numerous commission buyers, local buyers and interstate buyers from South Australia and Victoria.
